About
Women’s Wrongs is a digital charity zine dedicated to the morally questionable actions of our favorite female characters in Baldur’s Gate 3, with the intent to celebrate the their complexity and give them the love and appreciation they deserve.
In keeping with BG3's themes, the zine will be rated Mature:
Artistic Nudity
Canon-Typical Violence
Sensual Content
Due to overwhelming support in the interest check, Women’s Wrongs will be moving forward as a digital charity zine. The three highlighted charities will be Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, Oxfam International, and Women for Women International.
As previously noted, the mod team will not be handling any money directly.
Instead, the process will work as follows:
On December 1st, a pre-order period will begin, and remain open through the end of December.
To pre-order a charity bundle, you will make a donation to one of the approved charities, and submit a pre-order form with your email address and proof of donation. Donations dating from November 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024 will be eligible for pre-order.
The charity bundles will be sent out January 1st to the email addresses submitted in the pre-order forms. These bundles will include the regular version of the zine, as well as a version formatted for printing.
The ready-to-print version will be exclusive to the charity bundle. On March 8th, International Women's Day, the regular version of the zine will be posted online for all to enjoy freely.
Note: If anyone misses the pre-order period, but would like to receive the ready-to-print version of the zine in the future, they are welcome to reach out to the mod team with proof of donation, and we will be happy to send them an individual copy.
The cost of the charity bundle will be 5 USD minimum | 10 USD suggested
(or the equivalent in your local currency).
Note: If you are from a region with a currency/economy significantly weaker than the USD, we ask that you make a donation that feels commensurate in value to you.
PCRF is USD-only, while Oxfam and Women for Women accept donations in a variety of currencies. If your local currency is not reflected in the donation options of any of these three organizations, please make a donation to a trustworthy charity in your region that has a similar focus on aiding women and children in crisis.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will there be a physical copy?
The zine will be digital, to ensure accessibility.
Will the zine be for-profit?
No. The zine will raise funds for charity before beeing released as a free download at a later date. The mod team will not be handling money. For more information on how this will work, please see our About page.
What are the contributor expectations?
- Writers: 1000~2000 word story
- Page Artists: 1 full-page illustration
- Spot Artists: ~2 spot art pieces for 1-3 stories
- Merch Artists: 1-2 digital merch contributions
Is this project only for “evil” characters and/or “bad” endings?
Not at all! While we certainly anticipate including those, we want to highlight the range of moral ambiguity exhibited by nearly every female character in the game, and celebrate them as the complex and incredible characters they are.
Will this zine be SFW or NSFW?
In our opinion, neither distinction is entirely accurate to describe a project that is generally aiming to align with the level of content found within the source material. As such, this zine is rated M for Mature, and is planned to include artistic nudity, canon-typical violence, and sensual content.
Will this zine be inclusive of trans & nonbinary interpretations of BG3 characters (i.e. trans Shadowheart, nonbinary Karlach, etc.)?
Absolutely! Our mod team is primarily trans/nonbinary, and entirely queer. As such, we are very much in favor of participants exploring interpretations of the characters that are most meaningful to them.
Are OCs/Tavs/Durges allowed?
OCs, Tavs, and Durges are definitely allowed, however the focus of the zine is on the canon female characters of the game, so all works must focus primarily on them.
Are canon male characters allowed?
Yes, but they should not be the primary focus of any works.
How will the project be coordinated?
The zine will primarily be coordinated via discord. Contributors will be expected to join the zine discord server for the duration of the event.
Are AUs - Alternate Universes - allowed?
As the zine is meant to celebrate the canonical iterations of these characters as much as possible, we are not currently anticipating including AU depictions.
Still curious? Feel free to submit an ask on either our Tumblr or Retrospring.
Application Guidelines
General Guidelines
All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Please ensure your email address is submitted accurately, as this will be the method used by the mod team for initial outreach to applicants.
All submitted links must be accessible to the mod team — if you submit a Google Drive file, please ensure its permissions are set to allow anyone with the link to view it.
If accepted, contributors must have or create a Discord account, and be willing to join the event discord server, which will be used for all major announcements and communication for the duration of the event.
Samples should match the content level of the zine itself, meaning M for Mature. As a general rule, if you would expect to tag a story or artwork M when posting it to a site like AO3, it will fit within the guidelines of the zine.
We understand that making the decision to align the zine’s content with the source material’s as neither fully SFW nor fully NSFW may cause some level of ambiguity. If you have any questions at all about the applicability of a specific sample, we encourage you to reach out to us via Retrospring or Tumblr so that we can give you a direct answer.
Submitting a portfolio – such as an AO3 account page, personal site, or Google Drive folder – for further review is an option, but it is not required and will not count against you if you do not.
You may submit multiple applications for various contributor roles, but receiving multiple roles is not a guarantee.
No AI art or stills from the game itself will be accepted.
